The course aims to provide the students with theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of Protection of Personal Data and security in order to permit the Data Protection Officer (DPO) to carry out his duties and responsibilities with the required professionalism and competences.
Most particularly, at the end of the course, the participant will be able to: inform and provide advice to the data controller about legal obligations (primarily Reg. EU 679/2016); monitor the observance of these regulations; provide advice on the impact assessment and monitor its progress; cooperate with the supervisory authority; provide support to the structures in terms of consultancy on Data Controller’s pertinent issues.
